Important Scheme Update

The processing of new grant applications under Clear Skies is now closed. With the exception of applications for grants for solar, only grant applications received by post prior to 5pm on Friday 3rd March 2006 will be considered. As funds are limited there is no guarantee that an offer of grant will be made even for those applications received by this date.

We understand that this will cause disappointment and the DTI are developing plans for a replacement programme which it is hoped will be launched in April of this year. Once available a link to relevant details will be provided. For an overview of how the scheme might look, you can access the consultation document here.

Grants are still available for those living in Scotland through the Scottish Community and Household Renewables Initiative http://www.est.co.uk/schri.

Please note:
1. If you have received a written offer of grant from Clear Skies, your claim will still be processed provided you submit the claim documents by the expiry date as detailed on your grant offer.
2. Clear Skies will continue to maintain the register of installers and products for at least the next six months as the register will underpin the new grant scheme. We will therefore also continue to accept applications from installers and product manufacturers for registration.
3. All other information on this website, including grant application forms etc. remain for information only.
