Laughton Lodge

Laughton Lodge is a community project set in the Sussex countryside, consisting of over twenty homes and communal areas which require heating.

One of the main aims of the group was to provide heating to all areas at a lower cost than that of the average household.

By installing a Bioenergy Wood Boiler the following criteria have been met:

An environmentally sound solution in terms of fuel use and pollution   Ability to source cheaper waste wood fuels from local timber suppliers, further reducing running costs, recent assessment has shown a 22% per annum saving on running costs when compared to an oil boiler   Future opportunity to use home grown coppiced wood from the estate.
